Carved from a thin flat plaque tapered towards the tail and with the upper edges somewhat bevelled and rounded. In the form of a low crouching animal with longish broad tail curving over the back; a mushroom-shaped horn, eye and two feet depicted by incised lines only slightly angle-cut, and the reverse is identical. The mouth is hollowed out with a small perforation and the tail is pierced with a hole conical on either side. A vertical incised lines in the middle of the carving and again at the tail are unusual features. On one side are traces of cinnabar.
