Receipt acknowledging payment made by the Duke of Wellington to Hedges and Butler for goods costing eight pounds, eight shillings and two pence. The receipt is made out on blue paper, printed on the left with a small Hedges and Butler motif. At the top, the receipt number is written in by hand, preceding the printed address and handwritten date: No.86 No.155 Regent Street, London, 3 March 1852 Below this, next to the motif is written: Received of [printed] from the Duke of Wellington / eight pounds eight shillings x 2 pence / for goods as per bill / £8.8.2. For Hedges & Butler [printed] / John Short
