physical_description
A damaged head carved in the round, possibly of a Bodhisattva. The face has been badly disfigured, but it has characteristic bulging eyes of the second century. The long-lobed ears must previously have had heavy earrings. The most notable feature of the carving is the elaborate turban tied in such a way to form a cockade in the front above a metal clasp, known as a maulimani.
