Warp: white cotton; Z9S; 21 threads per inch (82-88 per dm) Weft: light red cotton; Z4S; 3 shoots after each row of knots (straight, sinuous, straight); 11 knots per inch (50 per dm) Pile: wool; 9 colours: dark red, red, yellow, green, light green, dark blue, blue dark brown, cream; asymmetrical knot open to the left and tied around 2 threads; 115 knots per sq. inch (2385 per sq. dm) Side Finish: Left: missing. Right: incomplete but evidence of 2 cords with dark red wool, possibly overcasting. End Finish: cut Design: Field: dark red ground with red tracery; a dark blue composite blossom and two half green blossoms are along the central axis and alternate with a central green and two half blue blossoms. The ground is covered with leaves and blossoms on a lattice of green stems. Main border: blue ground with large, composite blossoms encircled by smaller, red blossoms. Inner border: yellow ground with two types of cartouches containing blossoms. Outer border: yellow ground with dark brown (corroded) diamonds.
