Observe the shield of the Baglioni family on 163 (Rackham 1963 revisions) According to Donatone it was made in the 1470's in the royal factory of Castelnuovo, near Naples. Donatone G., La Maiolica napoletana del Rinascimento, Napoli, 1993, pl.159 (NAL library) Wallis, Figure design, fig.80 where it is suggested that the inscription should read " EL.NON.PODER.ME.FINE " ("Inability puts an end to me").
