This pair of posters contains the names of the two Japanese cities bombed in the Second World War, written in expressive Chinese calligraphy. In each character, strokes or parts of a stroke or missing, evoking the sense of the broken city in ruins. Wang Xu created both posters using 60 sheets of A4 sized paper. [2009]
