In this poster the designer Chen Feibo explores the reduction and legibility of Chinese characters. Despite the disappearance of all the inner parts of the character's strokes, it is still possible for a Chinese reader to recognise the character in question as si or 'four', written in classical form. Chen works in Ningbo, Zheijang province. [2009]
