This rapid-prototyping model was made in a Thermojet printer as part of, and during, the Ron Arad Before and After Now exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2000. The Thermojet printer was lent to the V&A by 3D Systems and it was used to make daily 3-dimensional models from a design provided by Ron Arad Associates.
Attribution note: This is a 'real' prototype. It is one type of the two different types of pear shape for stacking sculpture to go into a building in Soho. The shapes reflect the effort to get the right shape.
